BEDIS Admission Process

Initial Call
When you call the school, the Director will complete an initial intake form and set an appointment for the parents/child to tour the institute.
Submit Previous Therapy Diagnosis
We will discuss with parents/guardian and collect all previous test results, professional assessments, report cards, health records and any other relevant information about the child.
Home Visit
After you return the application packet, the Director of Studies schedule a Home visit to observe your child in home setting and his/her interactions with you, spouse, and other family members.
School Tour and Child Observation
Parents/guardians undertake the tour of the school and have plenty of time to ask questions and receive an application packet. If appropriate, our teacher arranges to observe your child and engage him/her in a short activity (a) play activity for the young child; (b) an academic activity for the older child.
Professional Assessment And Therapy
We conduct further assessments in-house through our specialists, developmental psychologist, educators occupational and speech therapists. If acceptable, we liaise with the parents to obtain more clinical diagnosis for the pharmacological treatment of their children with other professional specialists at The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Centre, Oshodi an extension of Federal Neuro-psychiatric Hospital, Yaba.
Admission Decisions
The School Director, our professional therapist, and special need teachers discuss the child issues. If it is determined that BEVAD’s program (non-pharmacologic) could be helpful to your child, an admission is offered. The school fees and mode of payments as well as other school policy are provided to the parents.

Further to the placement of your child in BEDIS, Parents/Guardians are obliged to collaborate with the institution's specialized therapists/Educators during the physical/medical assessment of their child and when drawing up/reviewing the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) of the child,

IMPORTANT: After completing and submitting the online registration / application form per child; submit in hard copies of the following to the BEDIS Admin Office: [1] A copy of the Child's Birth Certificate [2] Child's passport photograph endorsed by any of the parent [3] Each parent's [Father / Mother / Guardian] endorsed passport photograph [4] Copy of the child's most recent report card and if the student's school does not issue grades, send a copy of the student's current progress report [5] Copy of the child's immunization card for children from ages 2-5 years [6] Copy of previous Specialist assessment reports, for children with special need [7] Sworn Affidavit of Contact Persons during emergency, if they are not parents or legal guardian [8] Evidence of Previous school performance and grade
