About Us
BellaVita Developmental Inclusive School [BEDIS] is an inclusive elementary school founded in response to the observed lapses in the educational and therapeutic management of children with special needs in the areas of neurological developmental delays [such as autism, down syndrome, speech defects, ADHD, ADD, cerebral palsy and learning challenges like dyslexia etc.] that are rapidly increasing among Nigerian children. Nevertheless, the school’s inclusive nature promotes the educational, psychological, and psychosocial development of both the special and regular needs children.
The BEDIS Experience
BEDIS offers a unique opportunity within Badore-Ajah axis to promote the educational development and other related, psychological/psychosocial programs for the children with special and regular needs using evident-based research and integrated curriculum in a positive, nurturing environment. The program is designed for students with complex academic, communication, social and behavioral needs. It enables the children apply the skills outside the classroom and aid the pupils build self-confidence, independence, self-advocacy and resilience.

BEDIS Program
This is the teaching and learning methodology adopted by BEDIS. This is applicable to every pupil:
Special Needs Education and Therapeutic Interventions and Early Childhood Programs
Individualized Education Plan are drawn up based on ranges of assessments carried out for the children by our multi-disciplinary professionals/ partners. We use integrated curriculum approach to meet the special, functional educational needs of children with varying learning issues, cognitive, behavioral challenges, and developmental delays such as Dyslexia, ADHD, ADD, Down Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy. We collaborate with the in-house and external specialist to develop therapeutic care plans that should provide the optimal opportunity for each child to move at his/her own pace through the curriculum.
Integrated Transition /Elementary School Programs
We operate an integrated transition programs that offer Basic 1- 6th-grade level of elementary education in a school setting to both the regular and special needs pupils/students depending on the exhibited needs. Some children/students have sensitive challenges that may require the application of integrated or multifaceted services and programs. BEDIS integrates the various aspects to meet the needs of the children (learning differences, physical, emotional and behavioral issues) requiring intervention. We apply evidence-based curriculum and integrate communication, social competence and academic preparedness. We group children according to their strengths and needs by using multi-aged groupings in each classroom. Our specialist service providers (occupational therapists, speech pathologists, psychiatrists, psychologists or other doctors) expertly coordinates all therapeutic intervention to optimize outcomes.
After-School Care
After school care for children from 3.00pm -5.00pm Monday –Friday at a cost, if parents are unable to Pick-Up Their Children At Close Of School. The Children Are Catered For During This Period Until Parents Pick them up.
Summer School
A 4-week summer holiday program is offered in the month of August. This enhancement program provides the opportunity for both regular and special needs pupils/students( from ages 3-15 years) to be productively engaged in new skills, sports, technology, fine arts, science, mathematics. and reading. The children have fun, meet/network with new friends to build their behavioral skills.
